A successful transition of our men and women in uniform to our civilian community and employment is a
national calling. The estimate of military personnel separating from the Armed Forces is one million over
next 3-4 years.

  • An estimated 150,000 to 200,000 veterans would be migrating to Arizona over that period of time.
  • Arizona is one of four states with the highest unemployment rates for veterans in 2012: Arizona stood at 9.3%.
  • Arizona, post - 9/11 veteran’s unemployment rate was 15.9% in 2012.
  • 61% of all jobs in Arizona (1.9 million jobs) will require some post-secondary training beyond high school in 2018.

The influx of veterans will be felt private sector employer community and institutions of higher
learning including community colleges. They pursue technical school certificates as well.

Honor our Military and Veterans
America must reflect on the sacrifice of our veterans, our current service men and women and our nation.  We can never take for granted the sacrifice the men and women who fought and continue to fight against threats to democracy. The best way America can honor these brave men and women is to take care of them when they return from war. That goes for soldiers with physical wounds as much as it does for those with psychological damage. It also goes for survivors of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

See video of a poignant ceremony that honors one who has served our nation.

Established October 2013 was Support Education and Employment for Vets (S.E.E.4Vets). Mission of the organization is to accelerate the support of men and women who have served our nation in uniform as productive members of the civilian community, including the pursuit of academic or certification goals, and greater opportunity to succeed and advance in the workplace.

The nonprofit organization will serve all of Arizona. History will record the post 9/11 era veterans and their families as American patriots, whose sacrifice and dedication to the values of our country, will be widely recognized and revered for a long time.

As our involvement in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq wind down, many of our service members who have fought in these conflicts will be leaving military service and transitioning back to civilian life.  Arizona should expect a large influx of these outstanding citizens.  Arizona should, and will, welcome them home with open arms.

Golf Tournaments

S.E.E.4Vets is holding two golf tournaments in Sept (west and east valley). Please visit the website-, or click on the link  Your participation is encouraged.

The funds from the golf tournament would enable S.E.E.4Vets to complete its work with the Maricopa Community College Foundation. Our aim is to improve the retention and graduation rate by making available monies to student veterans to lessen their financial burden while attending community college. The S.E.E.4Vets Student Veteran Fund would reside at the Foundation.
